SC Helping Foundation was established to provide community support to disadvantaged individuals by offering training, essential resources, and a path toward independence and self-sufficiency.

Four times a month, we open our doors to provide warm meals to those who need them most. Alongside meals, we distribute clothing, hygiene products, and other essential items to support the whole person — no barriers, just care.

In 2025, SC Helping Foundation distributed approximately 2,400 meals — covering December 2024 through November 2025. This represents a remarkable 17% increase over what we accomplished in 2024.

The addition of a 3rd and 4th Saturday service was a pivotal decision that helped drive our growth, extending our reach to more families and individuals who depend on us.

SC Helping Foundation will continue serving meals and donated items to individuals and families throughout the year at our Colfax & Dayton location in Aurora, CO.
We continue our partnership with SC Bakery in preparing a hot meal with volunteers and students from our Work Skills Training Program (Practice Center) on the 1st and 2nd Saturday of each month. Giving the students the opportunity to develop work skills to help them gain independence and find employment.
SC Helping Foundation is coordinating with additional church partners to expand our community footprint — broadening the network of support available to those we serve.

In 2021, Carolyn Evans, a teacher at Crossroads Transition Center (Aurora Public Schools), reached out to SC Bakery — bringing in students to learn work skills and train in a real bakery environment.
It is through this extraordinary partnership that the Work Skills Training Program (Practice Center) was created — and it has since expanded to serve more individuals and organizations across the community.
