What We Do

Programs That Change Lives

We believe every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive. Our programs address both immediate needs and long-term empowerment.

🌟
Employment & Life Skills Training

We equip disadvantaged individuals with practical skills and training to secure meaningful employment, achieve financial independence, and build a stable, self-sufficient life.

Breakfast Club

Four times a month, we open our doors to provide warm meals to those who need them most. Alongside meals, we distribute clothing, hygiene products, and other essential items to support the whole person — no barriers, just care.

Empowering individuals isn't just charity — it's an investment in the strength and resilience of the entire community.

"Even with Federal Government enforcement affecting undocumented immigrants, the number of people we served continued to grow — a testament to the enduring need in our community."

The addition of a 3rd and 4th Saturday service was a pivotal decision that helped drive our growth, extending our reach to more families and individuals who depend on us.

How It All Started

The Story Behind the Practice Center

In 2021, Carolyn Evans, a teacher at Crossroads Transition Center (Aurora Public Schools), reached out to SC Bakery — bringing in students to learn work skills and train in a real bakery environment.

It is through this extraordinary partnership that the Work Skills Training Program (Practice Center) was created — and it has since expanded to serve more individuals and organizations across the community.
